Paper Tubes
These in particular for the mason bees designed cardboard tubes are mainly for the red mason bee, but are also approached by the horned mason bee. The lenght is 15 cm, the inner diameter 7,5 mm. The nesting tubes become bundled to small units and then placed on from rain protected spots. Ideal on a bigger nesting site.
The mason bees only accept the tubes, if they are closed on one side. Either with plugs of some kind or attaching the tubes tight to a back wall. They are also available with plugs as closing.
